We offer excellent comfortable accomodation with really good food and facilities. All rooms have shower & toilet, TV , Central Heating and Tea-Making facilities and there’s lots of easy private parking space.

Credit Crunch Special 30 Euro pps including breakfast !

Single Room 35 Euro (most Kenmare B&Bs now charge 39 to 60 Euro plus .. (some do not even include Breakfast !)

Why not stay in the tranquility of the countryside instead of the noise of the town ?

We also have Single Rooms -a rarity on the Ring of Kerry ! (although these are limited in July and August).

Regrettably we no longer offer evening meals due to rocketing food costs in Ireland.

(We don’t have a drinks license though so please bring your own wine or beer !)

Our large Breakfast Room has a lovely view towards the river and mountains..It’s run by Ann and Keith Jones and you’ll always get a warm welcome at Rockvilla.

It’s a perfect centre for exploring the Ring of Kerry or The Ring of Beara

We’re just 3 miles from Kenmare with it’s great Shops,Restaurants and Pubs.(Thats less than most people drive to the Shops !)

You’ll find us a really good centre for touring and sightseeing .Local amenities include TWO superb Golf Courses (Kenmare and Ring of Kerry)We are only a couple of minutes away from The Ring of Kerry Golf Course.

,Our two Spaniels are Jade and Saffi but they are not permitted to play with Guests !(usually they are very quiet and kept in our private quarters !)

We offer:Salmon,Trout,Beach or Sea Fishing, Horse Riding from Dromquinna Stables a couple of minutes away,Walking on the Kerry Way, Cycling and a super Local Pub (Pat Spillane’s). that serves good food.

We’re just a few minutes drive from Kenmare (locally called Neidin - which means little nest and it really is a cosy Town) where you’ll find traditional music in Pubs almost every night and there’s a wide choice of restaurants there too..we have menus from most Kenmare restaurants for clients to view .

Why not spend a couple of hours on the Seafari exploration voyage which is a fun way to view Kenmare Bay with friendly and knowledgeable local people.

You’ll usually see seals on Seafari trips and maybe even dolphins !

If you’re interested in Archaeology there are literally hundreds of Standing Stones,Stone Circles as well as ruined Castles and Abbeys within easy reach.Killarney is just 22 miles away and offers a fantastically beautiful National Park with Lakes and mountains of an unforgettable nature.

You can also see there Muckross House and Abbey ,the spectacular Torc Waterfall and have a ride in a Jaunting Car or just visit the amazingly well stocked shops(or try a pint of Guinness in the most unusual bar in Ireland - a sweet shop !)

Early in the morning(very early) you can see the deer drinking at the lakeside (if you know where to look !)

Skellig Islands. A trip to the Skellig Islands can also be arranged - it’s a full day tour and includes transport and please take with you a packed lunch and water (The Skellig Islands have no shops !)

On the Skelligs you’ll see a huge colony of PUFFINS (in June,July and August) and Gannets and other Sea Birds (some really close)

We have over 400 local Stone Circles,Standing Stones,Ogham Stones nearby and we’ll direct you to the more accessible ones - oh yes, we also have lots of Castles,Abbeys,Picturesque Harbours and Pubs to visit….Keith can show you the more acccessible ones and tell you about them plus the Buttertubs,Ogham Stones and other ancient sites including a church with a Neolithic head over the door.

Keith also acts as a tour guide and (when available) will show you places and sights that aren’t even in the guidebooks !

Please ask for details of tours available . Glengarrif’s amazing Gardens are just over half an hour’s drive away through spectacular scenery and of course the Ring of Kerry has some of the most stunning scenery in Ireland.

This is a much more rugged land but with it’s own wild beauty and a super nature park at Gleninchaquin with lakes and waterfalls (and a first-class cream tea !).
